ECLIPSE-The connection to adb is down, and a severe error has occurred Android Development

Errors:

ECLIPSE-The connection to adb is down, and a severe error has occurred

CMD ADB server did not ACK
* Failed to start daemon *

Cause: When you try to Run your app from Eclipse Idle your console keeps telling you “The connection to adb is down, and server error has occurred.

Symptoms: Android (AVD) runs with misleading alignments display, it takes more time to run than unusually.

Solution:

1. Make sure you ADT folder –> platform-tools
has ‘adb.exe’ File.

if not downloaded the android sdk or find in your computer this file and relocated in the platform-tools folder

if you have this file do the following steps:

1. close Eclipse idle
2. open the Task Manager for Windows user’s
3. open the Command Prompt cmd
With the Task Manager making sure you stop adb (32bit) Background process you can do this by End task button.

Now you adb process stop with the cmd prompt follow this instruction:

c:\my_sdk_android_folder\platform-tools\ adb start-server
* daemon not running. starting it now on port XXXX*
*daemon started successfully*
c:\my_sdk_android_folder\platform-tools\

this is how you cmd display if it’s successfully started.

if not you should get the follow message

c:\my_sdk_android_folder\platform-tools\adb star-server
*daemon not running. starting it now on port XXXX*
ADB server didn’t ACK
*failed to start daemon *

Make sure you had stop the Background process at The Task Manager.

Once it is successfully started, open Eclipse Idle and Run your App.
